Introducing the Message Analytics Dashboard

The new Message Analytics dashboard gives you clear visibility into your messaging traffic in one place. Navigate to Analytics → Messaging to see your message volume over time, delivery and error rates, a breakdown of your top error codes, geographic distribution of senders and recipients, and inbound opt-out trends, all filterable by time range.

The goal is to help you spot deliverability and compliance issues early enough to fix them before carriers do.

Project and Subproject Management via REST API

You can now manage projects and subprojects programmatically through a native REST API, rather than relying on the older cXML offering.

Beyond parity, this adds capabilities that were not previously available: you can rotate a project's signing key, delete subprojects, and update project settings rather than only renaming a project.

SWML Conference Recordings Now Available in the Dashboard and API

SWML conference recordings were previously only reachable through the recording URL on the conference callback. They are now individually accessible through the Recordings API endpoint or under Storage → Recordings in the dashboard.

If you have been parsing callbacks to hold onto conference recording URLs, you can now retrieve them the same way you retrieve any other recording.

Set Codecs on Addresses

You can now set a list of codecs directly on an alias address. When codecs are set, they will be used on calls to the associated resource, giving you more granular control over call negotiation without configuring it per request.

Supported codecs include PCMU, PCMA, OPUS, G729, G722, VP8, and H264.

Pass SIP Authentication Credentials on Call Creation

You can now include username and password when dialing SIP destinations through the REST Call Create API, so you can authenticate against SIP endpoints that require credentials.

Browse and Audition Text to Speech Voices in the Docs

The Text to Speech documentation now includes a voice browser, so you can listen to available voices and compare them before choosing one for your application. No more guessing from a voice name.

Clearer, More Consistent Error Codes Across RELAY Messaging

We reviewed the error codes and messages returned when a RELAY message fails, either on send or on delivery receipt, and found that several were vague or inconsistent in ways that made troubleshooting harder than it needed to be.

Error codes and messages are now aligned across the application, and we have introduced new codes that point to more specific failure causes. All new codes are documented in the error code reference.

This affects the values of error_code and error_message on status callbacks, in the Messaging Logs API, and in the message view in the dashboard. The RELAY SDK interface itself did not change. This is a RELAY only change and does not affect LaML.
